Mena Alexandra suvari, born on February 13, 1979 in the USA is an actress, fashion designer and a model. After a brief period as a fashion model before moving into acting by appearing as guest stars on TV shows such as Boy Meets World in the 1990s as well as High Incident. Her first film part in the drama Nowhere. Her performances were in American Beauty, for which she was awarded an BAFTA Award nomination and American Pie brought her to broader attention. The next time she appeared was in Loser (2000) in which she starred alongside American Pie actor Jason Biggs. Later she played the role of the title character for the film Sugar & Spice (2002). Spun, an independent drama that aired in 2002, and the action movie Trauma (2004), were the two films she has made her most recent appearances. She appeared in HBO's dramatic series Six Feet Under. In 2004 she was nominated as an Outstanding Cast member at the Screen Actors Guild Awards. In 2008, Suvari appeared in various films including Day of the Dead The Mysteries of Pittsburgh and as the adaptation film of The Garden of Eden. Suvari appeared in fashion-related blogs and in various magazines such as Vogue and Lancome Paris Adaptive print ads. Suvari has been a supporter and an advocate for the African Medical and Research Foundation over the years. Additionally, she is involved with charities which fight breast cancer as well as End Violence Against Women.
